Paul Merchants under its CSR initiative towards education of underprivileged children; offered scholarships to 50 meritorious students of Government Schools in Chandigarh city with an aim to encourage education.
The objective of the initiative was to encourage the bright students from the deprived class to study further and create awareness about the importance of education. Another important objective of the event was to allow parents to understand the difference education can bring to their child's life.
Paul Merchants Ltd awards scholarships
As a part of the welfare initiative, ‘Bright Citizen Scholarship’, 50 meritorious students who performed well in their Xth and XIIth board exams of the government schools of Chandigarh; were awarded with scholarships which comprised of cash prize and certificates; with an objective to felicitate them and encourage them to study further.
The event was attended by the revered Chief Guest, Mr. Rajiv Kumar Gupta, Joint Commissioner, Municipal Corporation, Chandigarh and Mr. Rajneesh Bansal, Executive Director, Paul Merchants. Other esteemed guest of the occasion was Mrs. Viney R. Sood, District Education Officer, Chandigarh at PHD Chamber of Commerce & Industry, PHD House at Sector 31-A Chandigarh .
